This 7 km hike is located in private property next to the Milodon Cave Natural Monument. It is a easy to moderate hike that can be done in about 3 to 4 hours depending on the stops. Most likely there will be andean condors and buzzard eagles flying around among other animals in the beautiful Patagonian landscape. We will have the opportunity to learn about the history of the region.
This property, together with the Milodon Cave are some of the most important archeological and paleonthological sites in South America, where many important findings where discovered including fossils of the mega-fauna that lived here during the last ice age, along with artifacts and petroglyphs of the first humans who roamed this area seasonally in search for food and shelter and who left their mark in some of the rock caves in the for of petroglyphs. They were the Aonikenk or Tehuelche people.
