Diego Aldrete Isaac – Founder, program director, lead guide

I have always been fascinated by nature and when I started climbing at the age of 12, I was exposed to wild and pristine places that inspired me. Over the years, my appreciation and passion for the outdoors has evolved and grown.
Years of climbing recreationally, instructing climbing indoors and developing new climbing areas prepared me for guiding outdoor climbing trips in 2006. Eventually, that led to guiding trekking in Patagonia since 2015.
With experience in the field I have developed risk and group management skills, as well as client care methods that have given me the opportunity to guide hundreds of people in beautiful and wild places. Some qualifications I have are:
- Single Pitch Instructor with the American Mountain Guides Association
- Wilderness First Responder (WFR)
- Trekking Guide in Torres del Paine
- Fluent in English, Spanish and some German
I love guiding because it takes me to beautiful places where I have the privilege to meet interesting people from different countries. The bonds that develop with my clients during these experiences are the best part of guiding.
Lisa Raunig – Co-founder, marketing director, guide

I grew up in the Austrian Alps surrounded by beautiful nature just one foot step away from my home. I’ve always loved to spend my time in nature dedicated to different kind of sports such as skiing, cross country skiing, climbing, mountain biking and hiking.
After studying Graphic Design and Business Pedagogy in Innsbruck and doing an internship teaching economy related subjects in a school for half a year, I worked some years in the Chamber of Commerce of Austria in the field of graphic design and marketing campaigns. I decided to make a radical change in my lifestyle by going to Patagonia in 2017, where I fell in love and decided to never go back to my old routine. Instead, I committed to work on creating a company with unique and inspiring adventures in nature together with Diego.
I am certified as a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) and as a trekking guide with the National Corporation of Forestry (CONAF) in the Chilean Patagonia. I speak German, Spanish and English fluently, and French at a beginner level.
I’ve always loved working with people, being in nature and doing creative as well as organizational work. My fields of responsibility at Mountaineering Aldrete combine all of these areas and I’m really excited and happy to transform my different interests into a profession.
